Chemistry

Transfer Tools Home

Chemistry is founded on the basic laws of the physical world and connects mathematics and physics with natural sciences. Chemistry majors study the compositing, properties and reactivity of matter and create and discover new chemicals. A chemistry degree can lead to careers in forensics chemistry, energy production, biotechnology, cosmetic and textile industries, and more. The degree prepares students for advanced studies in the field or to attend professional schools in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and osteopathy. Students also have the option to pursue studies in teaching science in secondary schools.

The general education component of this degree is a 35 unit block called the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC). You must complete the AGEC-S.
