Description: Procedures for processing charges. Emphasis on the selection and completion of paperwork necessary to process charges against individuals or specific individual typologies. Covers form interpretation, auxiliary form selection and completion, and legal filing procedures. Includes reference material usage and abbreviation and acronym interpretation information.

1. Review a Charging Transmittal Form (CTF) for a single charge from the state against a single defendant. (I)
2. Process a CTF for a single charge and for multiple charges from the state against a single defendant. (I)
3. Explain the use of complaint charging abbreviations in the completion of CTFs. (I, IV)
4. Differentiate between forms associated with the charging of complaints. (II)
5. Trace the criminal justice process from police investigation thru post-sentencing victim contact. (III)
6. Define acronyms and terms associated with complaint charging procedures. (IV)
7. Use a CTF to interpret the forms that must be selected for completion in the processing of specific complaints. (V)
8. Process a CTF for multiple charges from a single victim against a single defendant. (VI)
9. Cite procedures for Processing a CTF for multiple charges from multiple victims against a single defendant. (VI)
10. Process a CTF for a single charge from the state against multiple defendants. (VI)
11. Explain procedures for processing split charges from the state against multiple defendants. (VI)
