Description: Focuses on facilitating the transition from Air Force ROTC cadet to Air Force ROTC candidate. Examines the general aspects of air and space power through a historical perspective. Utilizing this perspective, covers a time period from the first balloons and dirigibles to the modern technology currently used in overseas contingency operations. Featured topics include: Air Force heritage, Air Force leaders, introduction to ethics and values, group leadership problems and continuing application of communication skills. The Leadership Laboratory component provides dynamic and integrated grouping of leadership developmental activities designed to meet the needs and expectations of prospective Air Force second lieutenants and complement the AFROTC academic program. Provides application of advanced drill and ceremonies; issuing commands; knowing flag etiquette; and developing, directing, and evaluating skills to lead others.
