Description: Practical experience in applying core entrepreneurial skills and knowledge in a real-world context including innovation and creativity exercises. Application of knowledge and skills from earlier coursework to develop and present solutions to real-world situations currently faced by Entrepreneurs, Community-Based Organizations, Civic or Government Organizations, or College Departments.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Identify, define, and apply entrepreneurial concepts in Innovation and Creativity exercises. (I)
2. Demonstrate understanding of core concepts of team building through performing team building exercises. (II)
3. Utilize entrepreneurial skills to meet with local Entrepreneurs, Community-Based Organizations, Civic or Government Organizations, or college department to select a client and to address a specific challenge. (III)
4. Apply effective oral and written communication techniques in working with client. (III)
5. Define a narrow project scope and desired deliverable in communication with client. (IV)
6. Conduct primary and secondary research to collect customer, market, and competitive data pertaining to the project. (V)
7. Analyze the pertinent issues, brainstorm solutions.(VI)
8. Apply innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship skills to develop proposed solutions (VI)
9. Identify and report perspectives, opportunities, potential challenges and feasibility of the proposed solution(s) in stakeholder interviews. (VII)
10. Compose a clear plan to solve the problem identified. (VII)
11. Prepare and deliver a formal presentation of the proposed solution to major stakeholders. (VIII, IX)
12. Design and write an analytic reflection of the project and experience its value as it pertains to entrepreneurship, and improvements for the future. (X)
