Description: Emphasis on reading study strategies for an introductory class in the Communication, Humanities, or Behavioral Science. Introduction to Learning Management System (LMS), how to successfully read course textbook and assessments and development of academic vocabulary.

5. Create study tools when identifying the patterns of organizations in textbook material. (V)
6. Apply study reading systems to college textbook material. (VI)
7. Analyze textbook chapters for information presented in graphics. (VII)
8. Synthesize information from class lectures and textbook chapters. (VIII)
9. Create usable lecture notes. (IX)
10. Effectively employ skills and strategies to use in the preparation, reading, and taking of class exams. (X)
11. Employ information literacy strategies for coursework in the Humanities, Communications or Behavioral Science. (XI)
