Description: Purpose and applications of desktop Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology applied to water resources and planning. ArcView software program applications and data management. Includes data query and spatial data functions. Analysis of spatial relationships and presentation of spatial information.

3. Describe program applications, data entry and data retrieval. (II)
4. Demonstrate data query functions using ArcView software. (III)
5. Describe concepts of distance, area, and scale within ArcView program software. (IV)
6. Explain data management procedures using ArcView. (V)
7. Analyze spatial relationships using ArcView software. (VI)
8. Present spatial information using ArcView software. (VII)
9. Explain application of ArcView software in meeting water resource needs. (VIII)
10. Explain application of ArcView software in meeting planning needs. (IX)
