Description: Further study of electric arc and oxyacetylene welding with emphasis on GTAW (heliarc) and GMAW (mig) processes to weld both ferrous and nonferrous metal

8. Set up and secure an oxyacetylene welder properly. (VI)
9. Cut and braze with an oxyacetylene welder. (VI)
10. Use common filler metals in welding. (VI)
11. Operate an arc welder in the A.C. and D.C. modes. (VII)
12. Identify the commonly used electrodes and describe their use. (VII)
13. Weld aluminum and cast iron. (VII)
14. Weld in the common positions used in industry. (VII)
15. Operate a MIG welder safely. (VIII)
16. Operate a carbon arc welder safely. (IX)
