Description: Study of textile fibers and fabrics, their properties, identification, selection, use, and care

3. Complete burn tests on textile fibers and record microscopic and chemical identification on fiber sheets. (I)
4. Explain the properties, use, and care of textile fibers. (II)
5. Select appropriate fibers and fabrics for specific end uses. (II)
6. Describe fiber production. (II)
7. Explain yarn construction, simple and complex yarns, and texturizing methods. (III)
8. Classify plain, twill, satin, and decorative weaves. (IV)
9. Evaluate the three basic weaves and their variation according to appearance, strength, serviceability, use, and care. (IV)
10. Classify warp and weft knits. (IV)
11. Evaluate warp and weft knits and their variation according to appearance, strength, serviceability, use, and care. (IV)
