Description: Planning and producing a fashion show. Includes developing a budget, listing and delegating tasks, publicizing show, developing the lineup, selecting and fitting models, selecting and training dressers, writing commentary and selecting a commentator, selecting the music and staging the show, rehearsing and evaluating the show. Choreography and rehearsal also covered

MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Identify types of fashion shows. (I) 2. Develop a budget for a fashion show. (II) 3. List tasks and delegate responsibilities for the fashion show. (II) 4. Select a theme, date, and location for the fashion show. (II) 5. Prepare press release, arrange advertising, and print programs for the fashion show. (II) 6. Select individual designs and collections, group apparel, list lineup, and plan the finale for the fashion show. (II) 7. Select and fit models. (II) 8. Select dressers, assign them to models, and write the dressers instructions. (II) 9. Write commentary and select commentator for the fashion show. (II) 10. Select music and complete staging for the fashion show. (II) 11. Arrange fashion show rehearsal. (III) 12. Make final preparations and present fashion show. (IV) 13. Evaluate fashion show. (V)
