Description: Techniques of emergency medical care in accordance with national and state curriculum. Study of gynecologic and obstetrical emergencies



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Identify the stages of pregnancy and the bodily changes that occur. (I)
2. Apply techniques of assessment and treatment for the pregnant patient. (II)
3. Identify and care for a patient with an imminent delivery. (III)
4. Identify and treat a patient with a complicated delivery. (IV)
5. Identify and treat a patient with an abnormal delivery, pre-, or post-delivery emergency. (V)
6. Identify sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and explain precautions and treatment. (VI)
