Description: Statistical and cost analysis, report writing, and injury prevention related to loss control. Prevention programs designed to minimize or eliminate property and personnel loss or injury



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Describe strategies for coping with the ethical, legal, and educational aspects that are encountered in loss control and prevention. (I)
2. Collect statistical data related to loss control and prevention. (II)
3. Describe the analytical process for determining the risk of property damage and reduction of loss. (III)
4. Describe the analytical process for determining work-related injury frequency and severity, and reduction of loss. (IV)
5. Describe the elements of a proactive loss-prevention program(s). (V)
6. Explain the contributing factors in the elimination of loss. (VI)
7. Explain the factors that lead to a transfer of risk and/or loss. (VII)
