Description: Foundation in basic critical care for nurses who are new or interested in entering the critical care environment. Including anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology. Disease management for the endocrine and renal systems



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Describe the renal and endocrine pathophysiologic processes, diagnostics, and nursing interventions. (I, II, III)
2. Relate the impact of the critical care environment to sleep patterns. (IV)
3. Explain the theoretical basis for alterations in self- concept, coping, and sexuality as a consequence of critical illness and hospitalization. (V)
