Description: Introduction to management concepts, organizational theory, and leadership, and their application to the development of the nurse`s role as manager in the health office. Explores managerial principles of planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling in the context of both individual and group behavior as experienced in health care systems

2. Identify factors that enhance organizational effectiveness and those that may reduce it. (I)
3. Describe ethics, values and management responsibilities reflected in the school health environment. (II)

5. Describe management and leadership qualities valued by employers in the school health environment. (III)
6. Describe management models used in the school health environment. (III)
7. Describe the process of decision making in regards to the management of the school health office. (IV)

10. Explain factors that affect the professional role development of the registered nurse in the school health setting. (VII)
