Description: Designing and creating resumes/curriculum vitae, job interview skills, electronic portfolio, and job searching in the health care market. Appearance, dress, and questioning skills emphasized. Role-playing exercises of correct interviewing techniques.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Describe the format used to create professional resume/curriculum vitae. (I)
2. Prepare an effective resume/curriculum vitae using action words and professional verbiage. (I)
3. Describe how to project a professional image during an interview. (II)
4. Prepare and write specific questions that may be asked of a prospective employer during an interview. (II)
5. Prepare for alternative interviewing options, common in the health care market. (II)
6. Demonstrate effective interview techniques during a role-playing exercise. (II)
7. Prepare and demonstrate an electronic portfolio. (III)
8. Identify potential job search locations to find the best-suited employment. (IV)
9. Practice correct interview techniques during a role-playing exercise. (VI)
