Description: Concepts of human resource management in a project environment, including project organization planning, staff acquisition and team development



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Describe motivation theories, including Maslow, Herzberg, and Theory X, Y, and Z. (I)
2. Describe the application of rewards in a project environment. (II)
3. Describe and list the applicability of various organizational structures, including functional, projected and matrix. (III)
4. List pros and cons of derivatives of the matrix organization. (III)
5. List roles and responsibilities of the project manager in the organization. (III)
6. Develop a sample staff management plan. (IV)
7. Describe leadership techniques in a project environment. (V)
8. List techniques to support project staffing and team development. (V)
