Description: An overview of the processes involved in importing and exporting a product from beginning to end. Course includes an introduction to the export compliance and import clearance regulations, the roles of freight forwarders, customs brokers and carriers, duty rate structure and classification, terms of sale, and terms of payment. Other topics include marketing, purchasing, documentation, and cargo. Compliance with appropriate U.S. government regulations is emphasized throughout the course
