Description: Exploration of selected topic in the humanities. Focuses on a theme, concept, era, or genre. Analysis and interpretation of topic`s representation, development, and significance in at least three different humanities areas and in a variety of world cultures. Course Notes:May be repeated for a total of nine (9) credit hours

2. Identify areas of study that are included in the humanities. (I)
3. Explicate the purpose and significance of the humanities. (II)
4. Define the designated topic that is the focus of this course. (II)
5. Describe the elements that characterize the designated topic of this course. (II)
6. Describe representations of the designated topic in at least three different humanities areas and three different world cultures. (III)
7. Describe the development of the designated topic in at least three different humanities areas and three different world cultures. (III)
8. Explain the significance of the designated topic in at least three different humanities areas and three different world cultures. (III)
9. Submit correctly documented essay(s) or project(s) that demonstrate mastery of the competencies above and contribute thoughtful analysis and/or interpretation in the field of the humanities. (IV)
