Description: Expands and enhances practical uses of basic taping and wrapping skills. Hands-on experience in the use of braces, athletic taping, and elastic wraps to care for athletic injuries



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Describe how, when, and why bracing, strapping, and wrapping techniques are used in sports medicine. (I-IX)
2. Demonstrate advanced skills in applying protective strapping/wrapping techniques to the major joints of the human body for support and/or prevention of athletic injuries. (I-IX)
3. Apply braces to prevent and/or protect athletic injuries. (I- IX)
