1. Pronounce German words, phrases, and sentences with appropriate intonation. (I)
2. Speak a limited amount of German, using the proper case endings for articles, adjectives, and nouns. (II) 3. Speak German, using the correct German word order. (II) 4. Speak German, using verbs correctly, i.e., to agree with the subject and to employ the correct tense to convey time meanings. (II) 5. Respond appropriately in a German conversation about everyday matters such as houses, clothing, foods, etc. (III) 6. Formulate questions to acquire information. (III) 7. Read simple German. (IV) 8.
