Description: Application of horticultural knowledge and skills at a practicum site



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Apply principles of professionalism at the practicum site. (I)
2. Apply interpersonal communication skills. (II)
3. Assist in implementing the irrigation plan on site. (III)
4. Operate a computer. (IV)
5. Assist in fertilizer application. (V)
6. Assist in pesticide application. (VI)
7. Assist in installing turfgrass, trees, shrubs, and plants. (VII)
8. Assist in the maintenance and repair of irrigation sprinklers heads, valves, and piping. (VIII)
9. Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and on site safety regulations. (IX)
