Description: Practical experience for teacher on-site at a middle grade school. Includes observing and working in a classroom, with teachers and with special needs students.

2. Examine the interaction between the teacher and students. (I)
3. Apply the Arizona State Board of Education Standards to practicum experience. (II)
4. Communicate effectively with teachers and students. (III)
5. Prepare lesson plans. (IV)
6. Teach a lesson plan. (IV)
7. Record experiences, interactions, goals and self-evaluations in a reflective journal. (V)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies. MCCCD faculty retains authority in determining the pedagogical approach, methodology, content sequencing, and assessment metrics for student work.
