Description: Investigation of special topics in computing technology and applications. Examination of industry trends to solve problems and/or investigate issues



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Present an overview of the special computing topic including its origins, major components, relationships and other associated issues. (I, II)
2. Trace the factors that have contributed to the historical development of the selected topic. (I, II)
3. Identify and explain current conditions, industry trends and common problems related to the topic. (II)
4. Discuss the implementation of the selected topic including programming languages, methodologies, and/or application software. (II)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies. MCCCD faculty retains authority in determining the pedagogical approach, methodology, content sequencing, and assessment metrics for student work.
