Description: Analysis, writing, and revision focused on a selected element applicable to all genres of creative writing.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Analyze and describe the literary element that is the focus of this course. (I)
2. Analyze and evaluate specific examples of this element in professional writing. (I)
3. Use several discovery and prewriting techniques to draft a work of creative writing that uses the element that is the focus of this course. (II)
4. Rewrite and complete the work of creative writing that uses the element that is the focus of this course. (II)
5. Analyze and evaluate one`s own completed creative work. (III)
6. Analyze and evaluate classmates` completed creative work. (III)
7. Use several revision techniques to develop and improve one`s own creative work. (IV)
