Description: Designed to assist men who are experiencing life transitions. Emphasis on assessing potential, increasing self-confidence, managing change, exploring educational/career options, and exploring men`s roles in a changing society



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Describe the nature and effects of life transitions and identify how to manage life transitions. (I, II, VI)
2. Identify personal strengths, barriers and sources of support. (I, III, IV, VI)
3. Increase self-awareness by identifying values, interests, skills, and needs as they relate to personal and educational/career goals. (IV, V, VI)
4. Identify behaviors related to healthy self-esteem and healthy life-style, and identify how to encourage this ins elf and others. (III, V, VI)
5. Describe the nature and effect of male, sex-role socialization. (II, III, V)
6. Describe the changing roles of men and women as they relate to your personal growth and educational/career development. (II, IV, V)
7. Identify and utilize college and community resources to explore and develop personal and educational/career goals. (IV, V, VI)
8. Outline action plan to achieve personal and educational/career goals. (VI)
