Description: Basic skills associated with board drafting in the architectural field



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Develop and use a manual lettering style. (I)
2. Use the alphabet of lines to develop contrast in drawings. (II)
3. Run a blueprint machine to print drawings made on a suitable medium. (III)
4. Use the architect`s combination scale to develop drawings to various linear scales. (IV)
5. Use a standard dimensioning practice to describe architectural sizes and locations. (V)
6. Use conventional floor plan symbols to draw a complete floor plan. (VI, VII)
7. Use multiview projection to construct interior and exterior elevations. (VIII)
8. Use basic knowledge of the properties and applications of construction materials to develop and annotate a complete cross section. (IX)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies.
