Description: Supervised practical experience as a paraprofessional in a social service agency. Assignment as an assistant to a practicing behavior health practitioner



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Conduct an intake interview.
2. Apply advanced behavioral health concepts in a social service agency setting.
3. Complete individualized behavioral health related learning objectives based on agency and intern needs.
4. Communicate effectively with agency personnel and coordinators with regards to agency and client needs.
5. Apply human relations skills when dealing with clients and agency professionals.
6. Assist a behavioral health practitioner in daily activities.
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies.
