Description: Introduction to automated ticketing procedures. Payment procedures also included. Overview of baggage processes and checking in passengers



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Describe procedures for accepting various types of passengers for airplane transport. (I)
2. Differentiate between baggage accepted for transport as checked baggage and baggage accepted as carry-on. (II)
3. Determine when and how excess charges should be assessed for baggage. (II)
4. List steps for checking in passengers for airplane travel. (II)
5. List the various forms of payment and determine how to process each type. (III)
6. Explain the various types of non-revenue and reduced-rate ticketing. (IV)
7. Demonstrate the ability to produce and accept automated tickets. (V)
8. Perform basic ticket entries including fares. (V)
9. Describe all ticketing options. (V)
10. Demonstrate the procedure to process standby passengers. (V)
11. Define and explain terms related to passenger boarding totals and history. (VI)
12. Use a computer to perform various automated ticketing procedures. (I-VI)
