Description: Interrelationship of insects, weeds and plant diseases with the environment as affected by soils, temperature, water and agricultural chemicals. Life cycles, biological interrelationships, identification and control

1. Identify the harmful and beneficial insects, weeds and plant diseases. (I, V, VII)
2. Collect and mount insects, weeds and plant diseases for personal reference. (II, V, VII)
3. Describe the different methods used in insect control. (III)
4. Diagnose insect and disease problems to determine plant protection procedures. (IV, VII)
5. Describe methods used in effective weed control. (VI)
6. Describe and use precautionary steps in handling pesticides. (II, VI)
7. Prepare written recommendations for pest control. (IV, VIII)
