Description: With live model, practice drawing techniques in advertising art using all media. Training for illustrators, designers, fashion artists and students of advertising design



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Draw the proportions of the human body and their relationship to each other. (I)
2. Draw the main muscle groups which make up the human body and the forms they create. (II)
3. Demonstrate hand-eye coordination through contour drawings. (III, IV)
4. Draw light, shadow, and perspective (foreshortening) as they relate to the human figure. (V)
5. Use various tools and grounds in life drawing. (VI)
6. Complete a study of the human form from live models. (VII)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies. MCCCD faculty retains authority in determining the pedagogical approach, methodology, content sequencing, and assessment metrics for student work.
