Description: Level two ballet theory and practice. Development of movement quality and performance skills.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Demonstrate correct placement and alignment for level two ballet. (I-III)
2. Use basic locomotor and axial movements at the barre, in center, and across the floor for level two ballet. (I-IV)
3. Identify correct components of level two ballet technique, theories, and styles. (I-V)
4. Utilize the theory of the body`s relationship to gravity used in level two ballet. (I-V)
5. Practice the basic elements of dance: space, time and energy. (IV)
6. Apply level two ballet technical skills, theories, and styles in performance. (V)
