Description: Introduces students to materials, hardware, and systems related to the plumbing profession. Provides instruction in water distribution systems as well as installation, maintenance, and repair of fixtures and appliances.

5. Effectively operate hand tools, power tools and equipment. (II)
6. Explain the purpose of valves, fittings, and pipes on water pressure reduction. (IV, V)
7. Explain a water distribution system, including water supply and movement, components and function, and the relationships between components of a water distribution system. (IV)
8. Discuss types of plumbing fixtures and appliances, fixture codes, and operating functions of plumbing systems. (V)
9. Describe defects and repairs in plumbing fixtures, water distribution systems and potable water service. (VI)
10. Discuss proper maintenance of plumbing fixtures including water system issues and corrective measures. (VII)
11. Install plumbing fixtures, potable water services, and water distribution systems using appropriate codes, tools, and materials. (VIII)
