Description: Introduction to the standards of the automotive industry. Includes an overview of the major automotive systems, safety practices, workplace habits, tools, and equipment.

2. Demonstrate industry standard professionalism that includes dress, attendance and customer service. (I-VII)
3. Effectively communicate with diverse audiences. (I-VII)
4. Document work performed according to industry standards. (I-VII)
5. Demonstrate the function and use of basic automotive tools and equipment. (III)
6. Demonstrate proper use of specialized tools. (III)
7. Identify the major automotive systems and their functions. (IV)
8. Select proper fasteners in conjunction with thread repair.(V)
9. Perform vehicle inspection. (VI)
10. Perform recommended manufacturer maintenance. (VII)
11. Use appropriate service information, tools and equipment to perform common light repairs. (VII)
12. Address manufacturer-specific training. (VII)
