Description: Culturally responsive strategies for working with the dual language learners in early childhood settings. Components of dual language curriculum content and learning techniques focusing on bilingual and English as a Second Language (ESL) strategies.

1. Evaluate theories and approaches of first-language teaching for dual language learners. (I)
2. Employ methods and techniques for teaching reading, writing, and other academic skills in students` first language. (I)
3. Evaluate theories and approaches of second-language teaching for dual language learners. (II)
4. Employ methods and techniques for teaching reading, writing, and other academic skills in students` second language. (II)
5. Plan lessons across the curriculum in students` first and second languages. (III)
6. Assess classroom management techniques for students with various levels of language proficiency and academic experience. (IV)
7. Evaluate instructional materials in terms of students` linguistic, cultural, and academic needs. (V)
