Description: Portfolio development, completion, and presentation skills designed for the individual student. Self-assessment and educational short-term and long-term planning, professional development, writing and critical learning included.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Prepare and present a completed portfolio to the faculty advisor for evaluation, in accordance with established methodologies and guidelines to be completed in independent study format. (I, II, III, IV)
2. Develop professional written communication demonstrating a purpose, logical organization and inclusion of pertinent information for appropriate audiences. (V, X)
3. Demonstrate the differences between objective and subjective written communication in professional contexts, apply logical organization to written content, and effectively integrate appropriate source materials. (VI, VII, VIII)
4. Describe the application of confidentiality and other legal issues to written materials used in the profession. (IX)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies.
