1. Identify major influences (such as social, economic, political, etc) contributing to the change and development of English literature. (I-IV)
2. Identify characteristics of major literary movements within English literature: the Middle Ages, the Sixteenth Century, the Seventeenth Century; Restoration and the Eighteenth Century. (I-IV) 3. Analyze the works of individual authors (within the backgrounds and movements). (I-IV) 4. Identify characteristics of these works with regard to content and form. (I-IV) 5. Analyze major influences (such as social, economic, political, etc) contributing to the change and development of English literature. (I-V) 6. Analyze characteristics of major literary movements within English literature: the Middle Ages, the Sixteenth Century, Restoration and the Eighteenth Century. (I-V) 7.
