2. Demonstrate proficient use of power sources, tools, and equipment in welding and cutting processes. (I-VI) 3. Using the GMAW process, perform limited thickness plate qualifications in any position. (II, III) 4. Using the FCAW process, perform limited thickness plate qualifications in any position. (II, IV) 5. Utilize applicable welding procedures to set up various joint types in both the GMAW and FCAW processes. (II-IV) 6. Interpret technical drawings and welding symbols. (II-VI) 7. Create acceptable performance qualification test coupon(s). (III-VI) 8. Use visual inspection techniques to assure weld quality. (V) 9. Repair weld discontinuities per industry standards. (V) 10. Identify the challenges and employment opportunities within the field of welding. (VII) 11. Demonstrate professional knowledge and personal accountability. (VIII) 12.
