1. Integrate knowledge of respiratory system anatomy and physiology with pathophysiologic assessment to formulate a differential diagnosis. (I-III)
2. Utilize diagnostic technology according to standard protocol to perform a comprehensive assessment of respiratory function. (IV) 3. Safely operate equipment according to paramedic scope of practice to manage the airway and ventilate. (IV) 4. Safely administer pharmacologic agents according to paramedic scope of practice to manage the airway and ventilate. (V) 5. Assure airway patency, adequate mechanical ventilation, and respiration for medical emergencies in all age groups using appropriate techniques according to paramedic scope of practice. (VI) 6.
