Description: Provides students systemic skills and knowledge to plan and construct draperies, shades, pillows, bedding and other home furnishings through instructional projects. Emphasizes techniques used in producing textile goods for the home.

1. Compare and contrast custom and ready-made items for the home. (I)
2. Measure, estimate, and select fabrics for the design and construction of home textile projects. (II)
3. Select and use equipment required for home sewing projects. (III)
4. Explain and demonstrate construction techniques to produce home sewing projects. (IV, V)
