Description: Use of standard service publications; performance of commonly used service operations following published service procedures; emphasis on good attitude development and safety habits about automotive service.

1. Demonstrate safe personal and workplace habits according to industry standards. (I)
2. Perform manufacturer major maintenance at recommended intervals following published procedures. (II)
3. Demonstrate proper use of specialized tools used to efficiently complete an express service to published standards. (III)
4. Use appropriate service information, tools and equipment to perform common light repairs. (IV)
5. Perform new or used car pre-delivery inspection services as outlined by manufacturer. (V)
6. Describe the influence of corporate culture as it applies to automotive service industry. (VI)
7. Complete manufacturer-specific online training to learn new model information and to reinforce knowledge of systems and special procedures. (VII)
8. Document work performed according to industry standards. (II - VII)
9. Effectively communicate with diverse audiences orally, visually, and in writing. (II - VII)
