Description: Skills and techniques used in the construction of garments made from knit fabrics.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Select a pattern for a knit garment using appropriate criteria. (I)
2. Select knit fabrics appropriate to particular garments. (II)
3. Accurately employ tools and equipment required in the construction of knit garments. (III)
4. Fit and alter a pattern for a knit garment. (IV)
5. Layout, cut, and mark pattern pieces for a knit garment. (V)
6. Construct knit garments using effective techniques. (VI)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies.
