Description: Review of pertinent subject matter in preparation for the Arizona State Veterinary Technician Examination and the Veterinary Technician National Examination. Guided review and discussion of exam application process. Review of student`s Veterinary Technology Student Essential and Recommended Skills to ensure completion for graduation as required by the American Veterinary Medical Association. May included field trips or guest lecturers.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Describe the testing format used by the Veterinary Technician National Examination and Arizona State Veterinary Technician Examination. (I)
2. Prepare an individual study plan in preparation for the Veterinary Technician National Examination and Arizona State Veterinary Technician Examination. (II)
3. Explain and summarize the skills necessary to be a Certified Veterinary Technician. (III, IV, V)
4. Apply strategies in preparing for the Veterinary Technician National Examination and Arizona State Veterinary Technician Examination. (II, IV)
5. Demonstrate veterinary technician skills have been evaluated as required by the American Veterinary Medical Association-Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (AVMA-CVTEA). (V)
