1. Explain various types of power supplies and correct set-up procedures for each. (I)
2. Identify various electrodes used in certification and explain their limitations. (II) 3. Describe the correct usage of electrodes and storage according to American Welding Society (A.W.S.) requirements. (III) 4. Perform 4G position welding tasks in preparation for certification test. (IV) 5. Identify all basic types of joint and proper set-up procedures. (V) 6. Perform stringer and weave beads in all joints. (VI) 7. Identify weld defects and their causes and possible corrections. (VII) 8. Describe non-destructive testing methods used in the field and in qualification labs. (VIII) 9. Describe destructive testing methods used in the field and in qualification labs. (IX) 10. Develop test plates, form cutting plate, and correct edge preparation. (X) 11. Perform an American Welding Society (A.W.S.) certification test. (XI) | |||
