Description: Operation of a home serger in advanced application of construction and embellishment for garments and home decoration projects. Home serger required.

3. Change stitch width and length on a home serger. (I)
4. Set-up a home serger for flatlocking. (II)
5. Apply fitting techniques for garment construction. (II, III)
6. Use proper sequences for garment construction with a serger. (II, III)
7. Use flatlocking to embellish a project with various types of yarns, threads, and ribbons. (II, III)
8. Use blind hemming techniques on a garment or home decoration project. (II, III)
9. Use a narrow rolled hem on a garment or home decoration project. (II, III)
10. Insert a zipper with the serger. (II, III)
11. Use the serger and conventional sewing machine to construct an item of swimwear. (II, III)
12. Construct an item of lingerie using the serger and appropriate techniques. (II, III)
13. Refine heirloom sewing techniques on the serger by constructing a garment or home decoration item. (II, III)
14. Use serger techniques for making gifts and baby items. (II, III)
15. Use different serger feet and attachments as available. (II, III)
