Description: Theory and practice of advanced techniques in phlebotomy and specimen processing including laboratory test codes, equipment, and procedures.

3. Describe and perform tests for specific procedures used in point of care testing. (III, IX, X)
4. Define terms/codes related to specialized phlebotomy techniques, laboratory testing, and specimen processing. (IV, IX, X)
5. Perform proper technique on specialized collection procedures. (V, IX, X)
6. Identify and describe the anatomy of the arterial system. (VI, IX)
7. Describe the collection and special considerations for therapeutic drug monitoring, drug testing, and blood bank specimens. (VII, IX, X)
8. Describe and use various specialized methods in specimen handling, referencing, storing, and transporting laboratory specimens. (VIII-X)
