Description: Instruction in theory and practice on tungsten inert gas and wire feed welding. Welding procedures on ferrous and nonferrous metals. Set up and operation of all types of machines used in tig and mig welding

7. Describe the process of tig welding. (VII)
8. Identify the advantages of the tig welding process. (VII)
9. Explain different weld machines and related equipment. (VIII)
10. Demonstrate the process of setting up welding procedures. (IX)
11. Identify the different types of alloys and the applications of each. (X)
12. Describe the mig welding process. (XI)
13. Explain the various parts of a mig welding machine. (XII)
14. Perform welding procedure as related to mig welding. (XIII)
15. Identify the different types of alloys and their application. (XIV)
16. Perform an AWS certification test in two positions 3G(vertical) and 4G (overhead) with the mig welding process, all plates will be x-rayed. (XV)
17. Perform a military specification certificate test in the (flat) 1G position with alloys, aluminum, stainless steel, all plates will be ex-rayed. (XVI)
