Description: Comprehensive review of Standard Operating Procedures as they relate to fire ground skills. Emphasis placed on hands on activities allowing participants to practice necessary skills to safely operate on the fire ground and vehicle accident scenes

2. Demonstrate overhead donning of SCBA. (I)
3. Demonstrate coat method of donning SCBA. (I)
4. Explain Types of SCBA. (I)
5. Explain and demonstrate emergency operation of SCBA (I)
6. Explain the parts of a fire service ladder. (II)
7. List the types of ladders used in the fire service. (II)
8. Explain the safe operation of a fire service ladder. (II)
9. Demonstrate the proper carrying and hoisting of ladders carried on engine and ladder companies in the fire service. (II)
10. Name and describe the types of ropes used in the fire service. (III)
11. Describe the proper care of life safety rope used in the fire service. (III)
12. Demonstrate the knots used in the fire service. (III)
13. Demonstrate the proper use of rope and knots to hoist fire service tools. (III)
14. Explain the proper care of fire service hose. (III)
15. Demonstrate the safe and proper deployment of fire hose from each seat position on a fire engine. (IV)
16. Explain the reasons for ventilation as it relates to the fire service. (V)
17. Explain the term coordinated attack (V)
18. Explain the types of ventilation used in the fire service. (V)
19. Demonstrate the proper cutting techniques used for ventilation in the fire service. (V)
20. Demonstrate the proper use of fire service ventilation tools. (V)
21. Explain the difference between power tools and hand tools. (VI)
22. Demonstrate the proper use of extrication tools. (VI)
23. Demonstrate the proper use of forcible entry tools. (VI)
24. Explain the functions of an engine company. (VII)
