Description: Developing designs with plans and details based on current design vogues. CAD problem solving associated with design



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Identify and describe major features of local residential styles. (I)
2. Draw bubble and thumbnail sketches pertinent to an original residential design. (II)
3. Develop, draw, and dimension floor plans, foundation plans, roof plans, framing plans, and full cross sections based on an original design. (III)
4. Develop, draw, and annotate custom door, window, fireplace, and skylight details as required for an original design. (IV)
5. Develop, draw, and annotate footing details pertinent to an original design. (IV)
6. Develop, draw, and annotate electrical, mechanical, and plumbing plans for an original design. (V)
7. Develop and draw customized interior and exterior elevations based on original designs. (VI)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies. MCCCD faculty retains authority in determining the pedagogical approach, methodology, content sequencing, and assessment metrics for student work.
