Description: Painting in water soluble media. Emphasis on individual techniques and design



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Contrast various water soluble media and practice techniques. (I)
2. Describe various watercolor surface preparations and painting methods. (II)
3. Describe the elements of a watercolor painting including design, drawing, and color structure. (III)
4. Visit art galleries, museums, and/or exhibitions to view examples of historical and contemporary painting. (IV)
5. Create and maintain an idea sketchbook, using a variety of resources. (V)
6. Describe and apply various methods of presenting watercolors, including framing, matting, and mounting. (VI)
7. Evaluate one`s own work and the work of other watercolor artists. (VII)
