Description: Introduction of court briefs and phrases.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Write court briefs and phrases. (I)
2. Write dictated literary, jury charge, and question/answer testimony materials at incremental speed levels with speed and accuracy to meet court reporting industry standards. (II)
3. Write and transcribe five minutes of dictated materials at: 100 wpm question and answer testimony, 70 wpm literary material, and 90 wpm jury charge material. (II, III)
4. Read back from shorthand notes. (IV)
5. Use the computer to edit steno notes and print transcript. (V)
