Description: Basic electrical and electronic principles used by the technician to diagnose and repair electrical systems in Caterpillar machines.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Explain basic principles of electricity, including magnetism. (I)
2. Explain the operation of electrical circuit. (II)
3. Identify and explain the uses of basic electrical components. (III)
4. Explain the operation of machine electrical systems, including batteries, charging systems, and starting systems. (IV)
